Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review
One of television's favorite chefs, Emeril, endorses a line of cutlery bearing his name from German cutlery great, Wusthof. Adapted from Wusthof's Gourmet series, each Emerilware knife is laser cut from a single piece of steel, rather than precision forged, which makes them more affordable than some of Wusthof's other lines. That's not to say they aren't sharp. This 7-inch santoku with a hollow-ground blade cuts very thin slices, thanks to its sharp edge and air-trapping pockets that allow food to fall off the blade instead of sticking. The santoku is a chef's favorite for Asian food preparation, as it works just as well on raw fish as on vegetables.

The Emerilware santoku features a high-carbon blade that resists staining and resharpens with ease. The fully visible tang is triple-riveted to a synthetic non-slip handle, and the overall contemporary appearance and lighter weight suits many home chefs. Made in Solingen, Germany, the santoku is dishwasher-safe, although washing by hand is recommended. --Ann Bieri

A Lot of Money for a Very Little1
Don't be fooled by the name "Emeril" on this knife. This is a light duty knife at best. The blade is extremely thin and has little or no weight. Spend a few extra dollars and get a knife
with more quality and more weight.

Best knife to own!5
Love it! Love it! love it! It you don't have a Santoku knife in your collection you are missing the best knife you will ever use! I'm not big on name endorsements but this has great Wusthof quality and the handle is very comfortable at a very reasonable price.

I was happy with this knife.4
Emerilware by Wüsthof 7-Inch Hollow Ground Santoku

I bought one of these knives for myself and my daughter last year and we both love it! I have one similar that I paid $79 for and it is a bit heavier, but honestly, the Emeril one which I paid less than $30 for works just as well. I sharpen it every few days just a little and it is amazingly sharp.
