God’s Extra-Dimensional Blessings.
A popular new catch phrase of our times, often heard after inquiring about someone’s welfare, is the enthusiastic response, “Blessed and highly favored!” Yet many of us–even those who use this expression so readily–don’t really lead a lifestyle that reflects God’s blessings.
It’s not that such blessings aren’t ours to receive; the Bible clearly teaches that it is the Father’s perfect will to give us the kingdom. The problem, says author, speaker, Bible teacher Michelle McKinney Hammond, is that we don’t know how to fully access His good and generous gifts.
What does God require of those He chooses to use and bless? Join McKinney Hammond as she takes a fresh, spirited look into the lives of several Bible characters who were highly favored in God’s eyes and shows us how to: Appeal to God’s heart, remain sensitive to His voice, believe Him for the impossible, submit to and rest in His plan, live before Him with a servant’s heart
Prepare to crawl into God’s lap and experience His highest blessings as your own.

From Publishers Weekly
What is the difference between living as a casual follower of God and being set apart by God to receive blessings? Could it be that God gives directions, instructions even, on how to receive his highest blessings? Author and speaker Hammond (What to Do Until Love Finds You and Secrets of an Irresistible Woman) shares her discoveries on this often-hazy principle in this enthusiastic guide for women. Citing Mary, the mother of Jesus, as the only woman in the Bible to be singled out as "blessed and highly favored," Hammond shines the spotlight into Mary's heart as she was called upon to bear and rear Christ. According to Hammond, Mary's willingness to obey God, to do things His way, paved the path to true blessing for this unwed mother. In a conversational tone, Hammond outlines the importance of living solely for God, developing a listening spirit that discerns truth and stands strong in faith, welcoming a role of submission, making one's life speak for God, and relinquishing personal pursuits in order to embrace God's best gifts. Hammond's is not a "name-it-and-claim-it" form of prosperity theology; she insists that in the Bible, those who were highly blessed also suffered the most. But the final chapter explains that every person who willingly sacrifices for God will be rewarded greatly. Hammond's thoughts on "blessings" communicate promise and are biblically sound, making this a book that is sure to be relished by Christian women.

A book to live by
Another excellent work. This book is for all to read, learn and live by. I bought this with the intention to read and the pass on to others, however, having read it, that has changed. I am keeping my highlighted copy..and buying another copy to pass on. The thing we should do most often, but actually seem to do least is to look within ourselves and be painfully honest in dissecting our heart & mindset. This book is full of material that is provoking us to look within, to see how deeply we are seeking God & his will. I cant say enough of how great this book is.
Hallelujah...finally!!!!
This book is awesome. Michelle starts right off telling it like it is. She does not sugarcoat or tap dance around the fact that in order to truely be blessed in the things of God, that you must first...SEEK GOD. So many preachers, teachers, and the like are telling the body of Christ to come get your stuff, but not telling the body of Christ that there are some rules and regulations along with it. The Word of God says...Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added. Somehow we have gotten away from that. God bless you Michelle for bringing us back to what God had mandated it to be. To God be the Glory.
Not only for women
Men of god, especially pastors can be changed by the reading of this book. Anyone for that matter!! But men of color usually find it offensive or insulted because of ego (a deadly sin) to listen to a woman or even pick up a book (and it's written by a woman, bro please). If you thinking like that, let me assure you, this woman is a mighty servant of God. One God has blessed with great wisdom and knowledge and I encourage you to open up this book. Hear "what thus say the lord", learn not to be "double-minded" and NOT "lukewarm". Be a servant for God and be selfless and obeident instead of being selfish and self-rightous..... just like mary. Great book and thank you, Michelle.(Lord, send me a wife like this to make)
