From the Back Cover
Emotional trauma is tricky and powerful. Just when you think you have loosed yourself from its grip, trauma pulls you back and laughs in your face… Do not despair. God’s ability to heal is stronger than trauma’s ability to wound. Survivors of traumatic events often feel trapped—unable to carry on with normal life because their emotional pain keeps them locked in the past. In The Trauma Zone, minister and psychologist R. Dandridge Collins writes as one survivor to another and provides biblical counsel to help us get unstuck and move towards healing.

Life Changing Book
I have dealt with PTSD and dissociative issues for 30 years, and have read many, many books over the years .... including some very helpful ones. But THIS is the book that changed my life. The combination of scripture, practical insights, application suggestions and a warm, compassionate tone throughout make this book a balm to a hurting heart. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Great Biblical Counseling Book
This book provides hope for those who feel they are in a place of no choice. Dr. Dan shows you always have choices. Our actions or over reactions to issues of life are a choice. Dr. Dan explains how our emotions have to be kept in check. He states Trauma is when you have "can't". Similar to biblical counseling Dr. Dan provides hope. This is an excellent read for self help and those teaching or counseling others in trauma. Very Good Practical Steps on Recovery
This book helped me with my journey to recovery. It's an easy read, but one that should be re-read to understand the "why," and "application" of steps in recovery.
This is a great start for renewal.
